Today, Thursday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, who has the largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament, called on his bloc's deputies to write their resignations to submit them in the coming days to the presidency of the Iraqi parliament.

Al-Sadr said, in a televised speech today, "There are two options for the so-called political blockage, either the political opposition or the resignation of the Sadrist bloc's deputies, and the Sadrist bloc's deputies must write their resignation to submit it in the next few days to the presidency of Parliament."

He renewed his position not to participate in a consensual government, saying, "I do not participate with them so that Iraq will return to corruption and dependency, and that the political blockage is fabricated."
