When you go to a flea market, you don't necessarily expect to come across your own things.

It is however the misadventure of a couple in the Côtes-d'Armor.

As they strolled through the Ploufragan garage sale on Monday, the man and his wife were struck by the resemblance between objects sold on a stand and those that had been stolen from them some time before, reports

The couple had been the victim of a burglary in their home in Vieux-Bourg last January.

After his discovery, he therefore decided to call the police who went there immediately.

The 59-year-old seller then denied the theft.

A search was then carried out at his home in the presence of the couple.

The latter then recognized new elements belonging to him.

The 50-year-old, however, explained that he bought them on the Internet, but his justification was undermined by a subsequent verification by the police.

He therefore ended up recognizing the burglary and will soon be summoned to court for concealment of theft.

The victims were able to recover their objects.
