According to RIA Novosti, this document proposes not to issue a license to purchase weapons to Russian citizens if the law enforcement agencies know that they are involved in an organized criminal group or have intentions to use weapons for illegal purposes, as well as if there are signs of a threat to state and public security.

As the agency points out, one of the authors of the bill, the head of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev, noted in his Telegram that we are talking about even greater control by the state over the circulation of weapons, so that people with mental disabilities and associated with crime, did not have access to weapons.

On January 13, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, proposed to restore the procedure for controlling the circulation of weapons and cartridges by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
