A 41-year-old man was arrested and taken into police custody in Brest (Finistère) on Monday.

The 40-year-old had been taken to the emergency department of the establishment because of his state of intoxication.

On the spot, he allegedly punched a medical control panel.

The damaged device was worth nearly 10,000 euros.

Sobered up

After being apprehended by the police, the suspect was transported to the central police station of the commune.

He then had to be placed in a drunk tank before his custody.

The man will have to appear in court on prior admission of guilt on October 20.

Otherwise, he will be tried in a criminal court on February 27, 2023.
