“Decisions were made to cancel... from June 8 this year, the mandatory requirement for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreigners to present documentary evidence of vaccination or revaccination against COVID-19... and in their absence, a certificate with a negative test result for COVID-19 by PCR when crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the message on the government’s website says.

In addition, the authorities lifted the ban on the work of 12 temporarily closed automobile checkpoints in certain border areas in seven regions of the republic.

Since March 30, Russia has lifted restrictions on movement across the border with Kazakhstan and Mongolia. 

It was also decided to remove restrictions on the movement of Russian and Mongolian citizens across the land border between Russia and Mongolia.
