“The European Commission adopted the sixth package of sanctions in order to now definitely tear the Russian economy to shreds.

But, apparently, the goal is not Russia, but the fire of the world revolution in the economy, ”Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

He noted that, having introduced a partial ban on the import of Russian oil, the EU is now forced to "scour around the world in search of raw materials of the same quality."

The disconnection of a number of Russian banks from SWIFT is another attempt to “seriously” prick Russia, Medvedev said.

“Banks continue to operate normally, domestic transactions do not depend on SWIFT and are carried out in the standard mode,” he concluded.

On June 3, the European Union finally approved the sixth package of sanctions against Russia.

The new sanctions package provides for the disconnection of Sberbank, Rosselkhozbank and Moscow Credit Bank from SWIFT, as well as a partial and gradual waiver of oil imports from Russia.
