Later, the Russian ambassador to Sofia, Eleonora Mitrofanova, confirmed that Bulgaria had refused to provide an air corridor for Lavrov's plane.

Also, Russian Ambassador to Podgorica Vladislav Maslennikov said that the Montenegrin authorities refused to provide an air corridor for the flight of the plane with Lavrov.
