“Arms deliveries by the West were started too late, and therefore now heavy weapons can no longer be delivered to the place on time,” Colonel Markus Reisner, a strategist at the Austrian Ministry of Defense, told Welt.

According to him, the most valuable routes for the delivery of weapons are already controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, the railways are damaged and therefore cannot be used, and trucks with weapons are under fire from the Russian military.

For this reason, large military equipment either cannot be delivered, or is delivered in small batches.

Earlier, Major General David Baldwin, commander of the California National Guard, called on the US and Western authorities to consider supplying Ukraine with Soviet-made MiG aircraft, as well as American and Western-style fighters.
