According to the authority, a person with monkeypox is exposed to fever two to three days before the appearance of the rash, while a person with chickenpox is exposed to it only a day or two.

With regard to the appearance of the rash, in the case of monkeypox, it begins on the face and extremities, and then spreads to other parts of the body, including the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, the mucous membranes of the mouth, the conjunctiva, and the cornea of ​​the eye, while the patient with chickenpox feels itchy and rash. Cutaneous usually begins on the scalp and face, then gradually spreads to the body, extremities including the inside of the mouth or eyelids.

The rash is concentrated in the case of monkeypox on the face and extremities, while in the case of chickenpox it is concentrated in the body.

And the authority continued, "A person infected with monkeypox develops swollen lymph nodes, while a person with chickenpox is not exposed to this symptom. The incubation period for monkeypox ranges from 5 to 21 days, while in the case of chickenpox it ranges between 10 to 21 days."

The duration of the disease in the case of monkeypox ranges from two to three weeks, while in the case of chickenpox it reaches a period of 4 to 7 days.

The monkeypox virus is transmitted from an infected animal to an infected person or person to another, while chickenpox is transmitted only from an infected person to another, and the infection in the first case is considered to be of limited spread, while chickenpox is highly contagious between people.
