Canada has 77 confirmed cases of monkeypox

  Canada's federal chief medical officer Theresa Tam held a press conference on June 3, local time, announcing that the number of confirmed monkeypox cases in Canada has reached 58, of which 52 are in Quebec, 5 in Ontario and 1 in Alberta.

  Shortly after Tam's announcement, the Quebec Ministry of Health updated the province's data on confirmed monkeypox cases, adding 19 cases to 71.

  With the 19 new cases, the total number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Canada has reached 77.
