The American amphibious battleship USS Kearsarge called at Stockholm on Thursday as one of several ships ahead of the military exercise Baltic Operations (Baltops), which is being held in the Baltic Sea.
The ship is 257 meters long.
Baltops is carried out for the 51st time.
This year's exercise includes air defense, submarine hunting, demining, amphibious operations and medical operations.
This year's exercise is also carried out in parallel with the celebration of the Swedish Navy's 500th anniversary.
The last time Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson visited a defense exercise was during Cold Response in northern Norway in March this year.
Then she was accompanied by M-leader Ulf Kristersson.
