The bass is booming on the main stage.

Lights slide over the heads of the first visitors, who dance or stand in small groups and converse through the pounding music.

They wear festival wristbands, summer clothes or swimming trunks, some women have glitter stripes painted on their faces.

White smoke rises on the stage, a fire show lines the way to the stage, along with the beats of electronic music in all its timbres.

Instead of the white flags, dark blue banners adorn Eintracht Frankfurt's home stadium - because today there is music instead of football.

The Waldstadion is slowly filling up.

Several thousand people came to the World Club Dome electronic festival on the first day.

From Friday to Sunday, around 180,000 visitors are expected to romp about on 700,000 square meters.

"The special thing is the good mood and celebrating together with the people," says Jessica Berngard.

The young woman traveled from Rhineland-Palatinate with her three friends for the three days.

The festival always has a different motto - such as "Hollywood" or "Cruise". This time it is intended to convey the flair of Las Vegas.

Showgirls and dancers should ensure the right atmosphere.

At 4 p.m., however, there is not much to see: the visitors are gradually arriving, some in penguin costumes or with Eintracht flags.

The first evening will be opened by violinist David Garrett and rounded off by a live cooking show with Tim Mälzer.

300 guests can taste the Rendang, an Indonesian goulash, including ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer.

The aim is to collect food donations for aid organizations.

Until Sunday, the festival offers its visitors 25 stages on which artists of various music genres will perform - from hip-hop to house and rap to psy trance and techno.

More than 300 musicians have been announced, including David Guetta, Robin Schulz, Sido and Steve Aoki.
