UN Secretary General and Lukashenka discussed the situation around fertilizers and grain by phone

“I can confirm that the UN Secretary General had a conversation with President Lukashenko to discuss the overall situation regarding [exports of] grains and fertilizers,” Dujarric said.

On June 3, the European Union announced new sanctions against Belarus, which will affect the fertilizer producer Belaruskali and its export division.

Assistant to the President of Russia for Economic Affairs Maxim Oreshkin previously told RT that the crises observed in the food and fuel markets were the result of mistakes by the United States and Europe.
