Aksyonov warned that if Ukraine tried to launch a missile attack on Crimea, the decision-making centers in Kyiv would be destroyed in retaliation.

“The Ukrainian authorities have already been warned that this will be Russia’s response to attempts to use American weapons on Russian territory,” the head of Crimea wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Kyiv's attempts to use Western weapons on targets in Russia would seriously worsen the situation.

On June 1, US President Joe Biden announced the allocation of a new military assistance package to Ukraine, which included the HIMARS MLRS.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Kyiv will not use extended-range missile systems for strikes on Russian territory.

At the same time, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Yegor Chernev, allowed the use of American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems for strikes on the territory of Russia.
