Moscow announced today, Friday, that the Russian military operation in Ukraine achieved a number of results in its 100th day, and stressed the continuation of work to achieve all its goals, while Kyiv demanded the establishment of a special court to investigate what it described as the crime of Russian aggression against it.

The Kremlin said that there is still no idea about the timing of resolving issues related to the future of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson.

Until this time, Russia had controlled 20% of the territory of Ukraine and its attack is currently focused on the Donbass region (east) and the strategic city of Severodonetsk.

For its part, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Kyiv's need to win its war against Moscow has not changed, and is represented in exerting maximum pressure on Russia through sanctions, providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons and granting it the status of a candidate state for full membership in the European Union.

The ministry said the Kremlin had failed to achieve its main goal of conquering all of Ukraine and that Russia had instead become the world's most sanctioned country.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on the world to continue to support Kyiv in order to stop what it described as Russian crimes against the Ukrainian people and what it considered blackmail to the world through starvation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to support the establishment of a special court to investigate what it described as the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine, in which what it described as Russian criminals would be represented, as happened with the leadership of Nazi Germany, according to the statement.

international position

On the 100th day since the outbreak of the Russian war on Ukraine, the United Nations confirmed that there would be no victor between the two sides of the conflict.

She added that most of what the world witnessed during the days of the war on Ukraine was the loss of lives, homes and jobs, as she put it.

The United Nations also stressed the importance of further negotiations aimed at facilitating Russian exports as part of efforts to resume Ukrainian food exports.

For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed Russia's readiness to supply grain to countries in need, provided that restrictions imposed in this regard are lifted.

Field Developments

On the ground, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the Russian army is establishing defensive lines in the south of the country in an attempt to prolong the conflict.

In his remarks during the Security Forum in Bratislava, Reznikov called on Western countries to take measures to speed up the dispatch of military aid.

He also stressed that the Ukrainian forces have begun training on the use of American missile launchers, noting that it is good for Ukraine to be part of NATO's defense strategy for the next decade.

In his statements, he indicated that coordination with Ukraine's allies will help secure its defense needs during the coming period.

Five attacks

For his part, the governor of Lugansk Province said that Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks by Russian forces in the Donbas region during the past 24 hours.

It also destroyed five tanks, three artillery systems and two combat armored vehicles, in addition to shooting down three Russian army drones.

The Ukrainian army announced that the Russian forces stationed in Izyum, north of Donetsk, tried to storm a town about twenty kilometers from the city of Sloviansk, in parallel with similar attempts to break into the Ukrainian defense lines from Lyman, which the Russian forces controlled a few days ago.

In Severodonetsk, fighting continues inside the city as Russian attempts to seize control of the last neighborhoods where Ukrainian forces are fighting continue.

The attacking forces advanced from the south of the city towards its southern suburbs in parallel with the incursion towards Lysechhansk adjacent to it, in an attempt to advance towards the supply route linking it to the city of Bakhmut.
