A young biker died on the road linking Pornichet to Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) after being shot in the head.

A projectile to the head caused the death of the motorcyclist

An investigation into the causes of death has been opened by the Saint-Nazaire prosecutor's office.

The autopsy revealed "that the victim had been hit by a projectile in the head which had caused his death", he added, specifying that it was a bullet but that the circumstances of the death of the victim are "not clearly established".

An investigation was opened for "murder in an organized gang, arrest, kidnapping, kidnapping or arbitrary detention, followed by death committed in an organized gang".

The Jirs (Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction) of Rennes was seized of the case Thursday with regard to "the complexity of the facts" and a call for witnesses was launched.

Investigators are looking for witnesses who may have witnessed an accident "or any other unusual event on the D392 road linking Pornichet to Saint-Nazaire, and more specifically at the level of the interchange with the D213 road giving access to the Zac de Brais ".

The facts would have occurred Sunday between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
