“Minimal contacts are maintained, especially with Europe, they are necessary,” Interfax quoted her as saying.

At the same time, she noted that in conditions when the policy of the collective West is aimed at destroying Russia to the detriment of the interests of its citizens and the economy, "we definitely do not need relations with such a West."

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia appreciates the balanced and objective position taken by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the League of Arab States and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf regarding the situation in Ukraine.
