Cook for at least 5 minutes under a lid
Immerse or wash the item with 70% alcohol (T-red) for at least 20 minutes
Freeze at -10 degrees for at least 24 hours
Dry the item until it is absolutely dry:
Large objects in the sauna at 60-80 degrees for at least five hours
Smaller objects in a sauna at 60-80 degrees for at least an hour
Rubber mattresses, inflatable boats, swimsuits, fishing flies, fishing lines, rods and the like can be dried in the sun
Boats can be showered with T-red after they have been emptied of all water
High pressure washing with 80 degree water
Sport fishing gear such as lures, flies, lines, reels and the like are disinfected using a suitable method from the list above.
