Älvdalska is spoken by several in the younger generation and a political effort aims to at least 30 percent of the ninth graders in Älvdalen will speak Älvdalska in 2030.

But speech and writing are different things.

There are physical dictionaries with älvdalska, but now you can also reach the younger ones via mobile phones.

The Willum and Bellum project has, with the help of an American technician, created a keyboard that can be used when writing text messages or on social media on the phone.

And now the keyboard is available for young people in Älvdalen to use.
