For several weeks, certain so-called "
patriotic
" platforms have regularly attacked opponents of President Touadéra, accused of being "
entrepreneurs of disorder and instability
".
They ask the justice system to "
track
" them - a complaint has even been filed - and warn that they will attack any demonstration critical of the authorities.
They add anti-French slogans.
The Platform of the Central African National Galaxy has repeatedly threatened
French soldiers who leave their base at Mpoko airport with "
inhuman treatment ".
She calls this Friday for “
lightning visits
” to Total stations in Bangui, in order to dissuade motorists from refueling there.
This atmosphere prompted the mediator of the Republic to advocate dialogue and the Central African League for Human Rights to worry about “
serious remarks made outside institutional bodies
”, which raise fears of an “
exit from democracy
”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs finally reacted, denouncing “
propaganda
”, “
misinformation
” and “
intoxication
”, in particular “
videos and tendentious articles circulating on social networks
”, which aim, according to the press release, to “
distort diplomatic exchanges
between the two countries, and "
to compromise bilateral relations
" with France.
The Minister denounces “
any attempt at political recovery for the purpose of creating tension in diplomatic relations between the Central African Republic and certain countries
”.
