This is the first time that my country has carried out legislative protection specifically for wetland ecosystems, which will lead my country's wetland protection to fully enter the track of the rule of law.

  The Wetland Protection Law is the first law in my country to specifically protect wetlands, with 7 chapters and 65 articles, based on the overall protection and restoration of wetland ecosystems.

The Wetland Protection Law establishes the principles of "protection first, strict management, systematic governance, scientific restoration, and rational utilization", and establishes a comprehensive, systematically coordinated and fully functional wetland protection legal system, leading my country's wetland protection work to enter the track of the rule of law. .

  The Wetland Protection Law clarifies the rights, obligations and legal responsibilities of various aspects, and the penalty standard takes into account the resource value and ecological value of wetlands, and the penalty standard is more severe.

Those who occupy or destroy important national wetlands without authorization shall be fined not less than 1,000 yuan but not more than 10,000 yuan per square meter according to the area of ​​the illegally occupied wetlands, with a maximum penalty of more than 6.6 million yuan per mu of land.
