“The court recognized the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan as a terrorist organization and banned its activities on the territory of Russia,” RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the court.
The decision was made at the suit of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.
On May 30, a citizen of Ukraine was detained in Crimea on suspicion of participating in the activities of the illegal armed formation “Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan”.
According to the FSB, a criminal case was opened against the man.
