It is the melting snow that causes high flows in the Pärlälven, Muonioälven and Torneälven rivers in Norrbotten - and it is expected to culminate at the end of the week.
But Kari Harju in Karungi did not despair this weekend.
On Sunday, a third of the plot was under water and when he inspected the farm, he saw lots of fish and fetched his fishing rod.
- He managed to pull up a fish, says his wife Stina Harju to SVT.
