Erdogan announced Turkey's intention to "clear militants" from Syrian Tell Rifat and Manbij

This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Erdogan, attempts to "legitimize the terrorists" by changing their names from PKK to SNA or to "Democratic Union" "will not lead to anything."

“Those who come up with such initiatives are deceiving themselves, but not Turkey,” TASS quoted Erdogan as saying.

Since 2017, Turkey has carried out three military operations in northern Syria: Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch, and Spring of Peace.

The official representative of the Turkish President, Ibrahim Kalin, said that Turkey is not obliged to ask permission for a military operation in Syria, because Ankara "protects the borders of Turkey."

Erdogan noted that the United States continues to supply weapons to organizations in Syria that Ankara considers terrorist.
