The US District Court in Halifax, Virginia, on Wednesday evening, convicted actress Amber Heard of defaming the star and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, through an article published in the Washington Post, and the court fined the actress $15 million in compensation.

The jury in the case took 3 days to reach a decision after 6 weeks of pleadings and testimony.

At three in the afternoon, New York time, the committee submitted its decision, which did not include the damages awarded, so the judge returned the committee to complete its work.

Immediately after the hearings ended, Johnny Depp did not wait for the verdict, but immediately headed to the United Kingdom to participate in a musical show as a guitarist, and it is known that Depp started his life as a musician before turning to acting.

Actress Amber Heard attended the announcement of the verdict in the midst of her defense team, and she was wearing a black dress and a gold necklace, and she looked sad and nervous.

The former couple, who are considered one of the most famous Hollywood stars, revealed shameful details of their respective lives in a Virginia court over a period of 6 weeks.

And the audience in the whole world followed these facts as they watched an interesting series on Netflix, and social networking sites were buzzing with sympathetic comments with one party and angry at the other.

Amber Heard was not the first nor the only woman in the life of the legendary star Johnny Depp, who was famous for many roles, most notably the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

And Johnny Depp wasn't the first man in the life of Amber Heard to achieve relative success.

Johnny and Amber met in 2009 during the preparation of the comedy movie "The Rum Diary", which was shown in 2011. After the film's release, the friendship turned into a love story that began in October 2011 and continued until 2015 when the Hollywood star decided to marry her.

After one year of marriage, the two parties decided to divorce, and after negotiations and disagreements for a whole year, Amber Heard obtained a settlement of $ 7 million, but the divorce that took place in 2017 was not the end of this relationship.

Amber Heard published an article in the Washington Post, in which she claimed that she had been subjected to domestic violence, but she did not explicitly mention the name of her ex-husband, but the timing of the divorce linked to the publication of the article led to a major crisis.

For his part, Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard, demanding $50 million in damages, due to the loss and defamation he suffered.

Depp lost his roles in both "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Fantastic Beasts" as a result of that article.

This was not the only lawsuit. Depp filed another lawsuit against the British newspaper, The Sun, which called him a "wife-beater", but lost it.

And last April, the hearings of the lawsuit were held in the Virginia court, and witnessed many details, which included infidelity, perversion, and verbal and physical assaults from both parties, according to their allegations.

Big winner

Both Johnny Depp lost much of their public and professional credits, and the biggest winner in the hearings was Camille Vasquez, who questioned Amber Heard.

In her testimony and in previous press interviews, Heard admitted that she had donated the $7 million divorce settlement to charitable organizations, but attorney Camille Vasquez was able to prove this claim to be false.

Vasquez also refuted the contradictions contained in Amber Heard's allegations about Johnny Depp's abuse of her, and the international press and the pioneers of networking sites expressed their admiration for the young lawyer.

The imagination of some commentators reached the point of assuming the existence of an emotional relationship between the lawyer and Deeb, which was denied by the young lawyer, stressing that she is linked to a British person.

After the end of the current lawsuit, Amber Heard's lawsuit, which she filed for damages estimated at 100 million dollars, is expected to be heard, as she alleged that the denial of what was stated in the article through the lawsuit considered in April, in which the judgment was issued, tarnished her reputation.
