The irrigation ban is introduced as an emergency measure.

The irrigation ban means that drinking water should only be used for food, drink and personal hygiene, says Madeleine Jansson, VA manager in Nyköping municipality.
At the same time, work is underway to start up a supplementary source of drinking water in the form of a raw water well in Edstorp.
The irrigation ban does not apply to those who take their drinking water from their own well.
