"The Norwegian Institute of Public Health was informed today of a confirmed case of monkeypox in Viken County," the institution said in a statement.
It is specified that the patient was recently abroad.
Earlier it became known that the first case of death from monkeypox was recorded in Nigeria.
US President Joe Biden urged everyone to start worrying about the spread of monkeypox.
