This is a survey published by

Folha de São Paulo

, a few weeks before the official start of the campaign for the presidential and legislative elections next October.

Only 3% of federal deputies are of Afro-Brazilian origin.

the newspaper points out, citing the result of a study on racism in political life.

And even once elected, you can be a victim of racism within the National Congress itself, according to parliamentarian Silvia Cristina.
