Not long after the accused in the Malin case was acquitted in the Court of Appeal, the prosecutor Lennart Lindskog left his career for life as a pensioner.

But the end did not turn out as he expected.

He then considered and still believes that the man who was charged and acquitted of the murder of Malin Lindström was guilty.

- I have experienced that I had a good career and I did not want it to end that way when I retired some years after the acquittal, says Lennart Lindskog.

Applied for erection earlier

Since it is difficult to get the Supreme Court to decide on a lawsuit against an acquitted person, he also did not think that there would be anyone.

He himself has tried before, during the time of complaint, without success.

- I was summoned to the public prosecutor in Stockholm to give a presentation but it is so restrictive that it was probably not on the map.

Believe in sentencing

Now he is of course happy for his own sake but also for Malin's family that the sack can finally be tied together.

This time, he is also convinced that it will be a conviction.

- I am very happy and relieved and I think especially of Malin's relatives.

It must be a relief for them to experience this.

You probably would not have thought so, and maybe not me either.

But I think he will be sentenced this time even if the punishment is not the same as in the district court.

There are many different parameters to consider.

But now you can retire?

- Now I can retire.
