made his first official visit outside the
Kiev region in more than three months of Russian military occupation to
Kharkov
on Sunday to
meet with regional and local authorities.

is close to the border with

and is one of the Ukrainian cities hardest hit by Russian missiles, with entire neighborhoods destroyed, from which many of the nearly two million inhabitants of the city's metropolitan area had been evacuated, which is the second largest in Ukraine after the capital,
