The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia will develop a new system of higher education

This is reported by TASS with reference to the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Dmitry Afanasyev.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science announced plans to abandon the Bologna process.

The head of the ministry, Valery Falkov, said that the Bologna system of education in Russia should be treated as a past stage.

The initiative of the Minister of Education and Science of Russia was supported by the State Duma, the Investigative Committee, senators of the Federation Council and a number of other departments and officials.
