Al-Khayat added that a recent study conducted by the National Center on Addiction and Drug Abuse at Columbia University confirmed that social media can lead to drug abuse for young people with inclinations, as seeing their favorite celebrities and stars in social media posts can tempt them to make fraught choices. at risk.

The study shows that 75% of teenagers see pictures of young people smoking weed, drinking alcohol or wearing these clothes, which encourages them to experiment in the same way, and the study also confirms that 90% of the children surveyed saw these types of pictures of their peers online before they reached 16 years old. Whoever wears any clothing or uses any of the above-mentioned merchandise or printed matter shall be punished with a fine of no less than 5000 dirhams, and the penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years in the case of recurrence.
