Beauvais firefighters attacked and threatened during an intervention

While they were in intervention in Beauvais (Oise), Thursday, for "a vital emergency with altered consciousness", the firefighters of Oise were attacked by the person they came to help, reports

The man hit them and threatened to kill them.

40 assaults since 2020

The whole scene was filmed thanks to the pedestrian cameras with which the members of certain rescue centers have been equipped since the end of 2020 when they are on mission.

The firefighters then called the national police who intervened on the scene.

For his part, the attacker, examined by a doctor from Smur, was finally left behind because no vital emergency was observed.

After this attack, the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) of Oise decided to file a complaint against the man.

Between the first quarter of 2021 and 2022, this type of assault, often linked to psychiatric disorders or a state of intoxication, fell by 11%, according to a note from the Ministry of the Interior.

Since 2020, the firefighters of Oise have nevertheless experienced around forty attacks.
