A 52-year-old woman, doctor at the René-Dubos hospital in Pontoise (Val-d'Oise) was attacked this Friday while she was on break in front of the establishment.

A 27-year-old woman stabbed her in the back,

The suspect obviously suffers from psychiatric disorders.

The victim, whose vital prognosis was engaged, was transported to Bichat hospital.

His days are not in danger.

An investigation for attempted homicide was opened and the suspect, who had fled, was arrested.

The attacker already known to the police

The young woman knew the doctor but was not hospitalized at the time of the events.

She was also known to the police for possession of weapons and various degradations in front of the hospital.

She apparently continued to hang around outside the health facility.

The Minister of Health, Brigitte Bourguignon, reacted on Twitter, reports BFMTV.

"All light will be shed on the circumstances of this tragedy," said the minister, while assuring the victim's relatives of her support.
