Ukrainian President Zelensky visited the battlefield for the first time since the war broke out.

He visited the second city of Kharkiv, which had recently been restored, and reaffirmed his determination for a decisive battle, and even after President Zelensky's departure, the Russian army's shelling continued.

President Zelensky, who left the capital Kiiu for the first time since the outbreak of the war, visited Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, which was recently restored.



After listening to and encouraging the grievances of field commanders and soldiers, President Zelensky urged the city to rebuild the city.

President Zelensky, who awarded the citations to the soldiers fighting on the front line, said on social media. "Russia should have known that we would defend our territory to the end," he wrote. "We will fight and we will surely win."



Although President Zelensky personally visited the front line and strengthened his determination to fight, the offensive of the Russian army is intensifying.



Ukrainian military authorities said Russian shelling continued in the city center of Kharkiv right after President Zelensky's visit.



The Riemann region, a major transportation hub, was recently captured by the Russian army, and fighting continues in Severodonetsk, Bakhmut, and Popanaya.



The city of Severodonetsk said 1,500 civilians were believed to have been killed in the recent massacre by Russian troops.
