Joe Biden and his wife Jill traveled this Sunday to Uvalde, Texas.

In this small town, the 15,000 inhabitants, but also Texas and the whole country, are still in shock after the shooting on Tuesday which left 21 victims, including 19 children aged 8 to 10.

The presidential couple, all dressed in black, went to pray and lay white flowers in front of Robb Elementary school.

Alongside hundreds of other bouquets but also 21 white crosses with the names of the victims, deposited since Tuesday.

Joe Biden then went to mass, Catholic, in this 80% Latino city and where a huge majority is of the same faith as the American president.

During the next three to four hours he will meet with the families of the victims and the survivors.

He came to share the mourning of the families but also of all the inhabitants.

It must be said that in such a small community, everyone has a family member in this school which welcomed 535 children.

Joe Biden will therefore take the time and stay 6 to 7 hours in Uvalde, but he does not plan to speak in front of the cameras.

In Uvalde, the sadness is immeasurable.

Some parents who had to wait for DNA tests to recognize their children torn to pieces by the assault rifle used.
