Sudanese Security Council recommends lifting the state of emergency

Today, Sunday, the Sudanese Security and Defense Council recommended lifting the state of emergency throughout the country and releasing all detainees under this law, according to a statement by the Transitional Sovereignty Council.

The recommendation was issued after a meeting of the Security Council headed by the Armed Forces Commander Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, where the security situation was discussed and the atmosphere was created for dialogue and national consensus.

Al-Burhan had declared a state of emergency after seizing power after the decisions of October 25 last year.
