From the 30th, the House of Councilors Budget Committee will ask questions about the supplementary budget for this year.

The Budget Committee of both Houses of Councilors is planning intensive deliberation on the theme of responding to the situation in Ukraine this week, and the debate between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to intensify in view of the Upper House election.

This year's supplementary budget to implement measures against rising prices was approved by the Liberal Democratic Party, the Komeito Party, and the Democratic Party for the People at the plenary session of the House of Representatives on the 27th of last week, and was sent to the House of Councilors.

In response to this, Prime Minister Kishida and all Ministers will attend a question and answer session on the 30th and 31st of the House of Councilors Budget Committee.

The ruling party steadily proceeded with deliberations, saying that the measures against soaring crude oil prices included in the supplementary budget were to reduce the impact on the economy and protect the lives of the people. I want to vote and pass it.

On the other hand, the opposition party has been criticizing the Constitutional Democratic Party's representative, Izumi, for pointing out that it is an extremely disappointing supplementary budget because it does not respond to high prices. It is a policy to pursue it as a problem.

In addition, the Budget Committee will be held in the House of Representatives on the 1st of next month and in the House of Councilors on the 3rd, with Prime Minister Kishida attending, and intensive deliberation will be held on the theme of responding to the situation in Ukraine.

With more than two weeks until the end of the session on the 15th of next month, the debate between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to intensify in view of the Upper House election.
