In a crisis situation, Finland can mobilize a military force of 280,000 soldiers.

That is twice as much as the rest of the Nordic region can do together.

More than two percent of the country's gross domestic product is invested in defense.

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Finnish government has also pushed for more money for defense, and international interest in the Finnish military has increased.
