Finnish defense well prepared during the application period

In a crisis situation, Finland can mobilize a military force of 280,000 soldiers.

That is twice as much as the rest of the Nordic region can do together.

More than two percent of the country's gross domestic product is invested in defense.

- These are historical reasons why our will to defend has always been very strong, says Major Juuso Welin.

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Finnish government has also pushed for more money for defense, and international interest in the Finnish military has increased.
