In Brazil, torrential rains have hit the Recife region in the northeast since Tuesday.
At least 44 people have been killed by floods and landslides.
56 are missing.
More than 1,300 people have lost their homes.

State of emergency in 13 cities
President Jair Bolsonaro announced to him the deployment of troops from the Ministry of Defense to help rescue operations and provide assistance to affected families.
