The early voting rate for the June 1 local elections recorded 20.62%, the highest among all-time branch elections.

It is the 4th highest early voting turnout in history among national elections.

The National Election Commission announced that the results of the preliminary voting for the 8th National Simultaneous Local Election held for two days from yesterday (27th) to today were finally counted.

At the time of the 7th National Simultaneous Local Election 4 years ago, which recorded 20.1%, the final turnout including this vote was 60.2%.

It is predicted that the final turnout will be higher as the advance turnout is higher than four years ago, and the last presidential candidates such as Lee Jae-myung and Ahn Cheol-soo are running into the by-elections for the National Assembly.

The record high early voting turnout was in the 20th presidential election held in March (36.93%).

The 21st National Assembly Election held in 2020 ranked second with 26.69%, followed by the 19th Presidential Election in 2017 with 26.1%.
