As the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported on Telegram, on May 28, Azerbaijani units fired on Armenian positions stationed in the southeastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“A conscript soldier, private David Vardanyan, received a gunshot wound,” the report says.

In turn, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied this information.

“The information circulated in the Armenian press about the wounding of serviceman David Vardanyan, allegedly as a result of fire opened by units of the Azerbaijani army, is a lie and does not reflect reality,” the TASS agency said.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan created state commissions to delimit the common border.

Later, the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev, met at the common border and discussed the work of the delimitation commissions.
