According to the police in Greater Gothenburg, the woman was out walking on a sidewalk when the moose attacked and trampled on her.
It is unclear what injuries the woman received, but she is said to have been awake and talkable when she was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The moose also tried to attack several other people before it went back into the forest and lay down next to its calf, the police write on their website.
As the moose were judged to be a danger, the police decided to let a hunter kill them.
