Casa Real has made public the annual accounts audit report issued by the General Comptroller of the State Administration.

A rendering of accounts that Felipe VI carries out for the seventh consecutive year and a 58-page document in which they explain what each item of their budget has been spent on.

A report in accordance with the commitment to transparency that Don Felipe acquired after his proclamation and that is made by an entity independent of the Institution.

The Casa del Rey received

8.41 million euros

from the General State Budget in 2021. This was the Institution's main source of income, money that they receive through a transfer and that ensures that the head of state perform your work effectively.

After complying with the budget execution, the result of the balance has shown a

budget

surplus of

889,316.63

euros.

Of the budget of the Royal House, the most important item is that destined for

personnel expenses.

Thus, the Royal Family received 507,000 euros of salaries while 4 million euros were used to pay senior officials and other officials and workers of the House.

Current

expenses

accounted for 2.7 million euros, while 168,000 euros were allocated to

the contingency fund

and 954,000 to an item called

real investments

.

Once all these expenses have been executed, the surplus is reached.

"As of December 31, 2021, the balance in the treasury accounts available to the House of SM the King reflects an amount

of 5,826,738.66 euros," they

explain in the document.

The bulk of that money was deposited in different financial entities, there was also a part in the Bank of Spain and in foreign currency.

The report also explains

the debts

that the House has, amounting to 1.21 million euros related to various suppliers whose payment did not fall within this fiscal year.

In addition, the House is owed

402,364.19

euros due to "advance payments that are finally assumed by other organizations or institutions," the report explains.

"In our opinion, the attached annual accounts express, in all significant respects,

a true and fair view of the assets

and financial situation of the House of His Majesty the King," concludes the Audit report.

New changes

This is the

first account report

after the Government approved the Royal Decree on the restructuring of the House of His Majesty the King.

Thus, it is the first to comply with article 17 of the Royal Decree that the Government approved on April 26 to endorse the House's transparency policies.

Thus, they established by law that the Royal House should periodically

publish all the information

related to the accounts on its website.

A measure that the institution was already doing, but that has now been backed by the Government.

The aforementioned decree also introduced

the supervision of the

Zarzuela exercises by the Court of Auditors instead of by the General State Intervention, as has been done in recent years.

However, it will not be until 2023 when this practice becomes effective.

Gifts

This Friday the gifts received by members of the Royal Family have also been published.

Don Felipe has been the most entertained, with 170 presents for him compared to 73 for the Queen.

Queen Letizia, fans, bracelets or a hat.
