A small two-seater plane crashed Thursday, in the Creuse, just after taking off from Saint-Laurent aerodrome, near Guéret.

The 26-year-old pilot was killed and his passenger, a 20-year-old young man, was seriously injured.

The ULM crashed in a field near the aerodrome at the end of the afternoon, 6 km east of Guéret, after a failed take-off attempt, Alain Clédière told AFP, the mayor of Saint-Laurent.

According to the latter, “the plane belonged to the family of the pilot”.

Taken care of in absolute urgency, the injured was transported to the University Hospital of Limoges.
