As he walked towards the police station, the officer was stopped by a woman in pursuit of the victim who was running towards the river.

She then explained to him that it was about a person who had run away from an establishment where there are children placed by social assistance and that she would have scarified herself at the level of the wrist and the face.

Taken to hospital

When the young girl jumped into the water, the policeman did not hesitate to do the same.

As he tried to rescue him, the victim struggled and submerged voluntarily to get him to let go.

The policeman's colleagues, who had arrived as reinforcements in the meantime, then threw him a lifeline to help him.

The victim was finally immobilized by the good Samaritan, not without difficulty, before being taken care of by boat by the firefighters who had been warned by the police.

She was then taken to hospital.
