To celebrate the festival, the 2022 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Outstanding Chinese Awards Ceremony was held on the 25th at the Asian Pacific Museum in Pasadena, California.

  Zhao Meixin, the first Chinese-American female congressman in the United States, Wu Jianmin, chairman and CEO of East West Bank, Zhang Xianghua, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Hollywood producer Wu Junmei, musician Wang Zongxian, and veteran Miao Zhuang were awarded this year's Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Outstanding Chinese Award .

  The event was co-organized by the American "City Magazine" City News Network, the American Asian Culture and Arts Foundation, and the American Shanghai Chamber of Commerce.

  Su Yantao, president of the American Asian Culture and Arts Foundation, said that the foundation is committed to improving the status of Asian Americans and enhancing the integration of various ethnic groups through the education and promotion of Asian American culture and arts.

Although the epidemic has affected the lives of people around the world, it cannot stop the Chinese people's spirit of hard work and progress.

It is hoped that by taking the award-winning outstanding Chinese as an example, more people can see the dawn of hope from the power of the example.

  Zhang Xian, president of the American Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, said that the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Outstanding Chinese Awards Ceremony is to affirm the contributions of Asian Americans and oppose racial discrimination.

  Los Angeles County Police Chief Alex Villanueva, Los Angeles County Commissioner Katherine Barger's representative Wu Zhongguo and other people from all walks of life attended the event.

The Chinese Orchestra of the United States also presented folk music performances with Chinese cultural characteristics.

Participants said that this event not only gave voice to Asians and made more people understand the contributions of Asians to society, but also enhanced mutual understanding and respect among all ethnic groups.
