A gynecologist practicing in Châlons-en-Champagne (Marne) was indicted in early May for aggravated rape and aggravated sexual assault.

, five complainants have been identified.

The time of the procedure, the doctor no longer has the right to practice.

He is also prohibited from contacting the complainants and from leaving the territory.

A first complaint closed without follow-up

According to France 3 Grand-Est, a first complaint had been filed by a patient in March 2019. It had been dismissed.

A second person filed a complaint for similar facts in May 2020. In total, four other alleged victims were identified during the investigation.

The facts allegedly took place “during gynecological consultations”.

The acts in question “do not present any medical necessity, nor the usual modalities”, specified the prosecutor to France 3. A report from the Order of Physicians had, moreover, been launched in October 2021. According to our colleagues, the doctor denies the facts.
