Shipping and shipyards are an important part of increasing knowledge about Helsingborg's rapid expansive period from the 19th century to the present day.

The story of the shipyard is an economic story that lives on today.

They would like to highlight Helsingborg's greatness as a shipyard city.

Over the years, there have been at least 154 different shipping companies in the Helsingborg area.

600-700 million passengers have been transported between Helsingborg-Helsingör since 1892, says Ulf-Axel Nilsson.

Kerstin is the hub of the exhibition

Through the exhibition, the visitor not only gets the opportunity to follow how the work went from order to finished boat, which in the exhibition is exemplified by the ship M / S Kerstin from the 1950s.

The audience also gets an insight into how life worked in the workplace, the different tools, models and more.

The two men have many thoughts and ideas about different projects to take care of the memories of shipping in the area.

- Our dream is that Helsingborg will also have some form of maritime museum.

But right now we are focusing on this exhibition, says Guy Rosvall.

The schooner Santos was the first ship built at Helsingborg's shipyard and probably sank in a winter storm in 1882. This is preserved in the book from Skåne's business archives.
