In April, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science reported that the plans of foreign scientific publishers to block subscriptions for Russian scientific organizations would not entail irreversible consequences for domestic science.

Earlier, 15 publishers, including Elsevier, Springer Nature and IOP Publishers, issued a statement on the suspension of paid access to journals for Russian structures.
